Sincerely, if I'm going melee and I have someone to bring GDW, I would rather bring an Axe with cyclone and WA.
Well besides the well known ES+CS+WA you can go Ferocious Strike, Counter Blow ( AI is retarded so is almost guaranteed KD ),Crushing Blow+Bestial Mauling+WA or something.
Depends on zone and what pve skills your team is going to use of course but that elite can ( and a zealous hammer wich i always have ) sustain EbsoH and or EVA/PI/Techbab .

I guess, but EL(or some other random condition)+Scavenger are enough to fuel those same PvE skills.

Probably works fine, just doesn't attract me much I must say.

Still, I find it hard to justify in a hero/hench setting. I mean, take sabway for example, which hero would you drop for a beastmaster?

What would this look like? Can you post a bar please?
Sabway's roles are set in stone. They are more specific and the build doesn't work when one of those roles die. That's why it's so fragile, whereas Discord is more 'damage here, healing there' and much more flexible. I would easily take out a Discord role for a Beast Master.

I haven't used Beast Masters for a while but already I've got ideas and tests brewing. I think for certain if a hero is equipped with Bestial Mauling, it would use it correctly when you cast Great Dwarf Weapon on the pet. That's what heroes are like, precise but conditional. A Hero interrupter beats a human interrupter anyday.

I don't have this tested but for a hero build how about -

R/W

Bestial Mauling

Flourish(e)

Call of Protection

Feral Aggression

Must see if they use it correctly.

Not carrying scavenger at all with that elite, but 3 pve skills so theres only 1 slot left. Its just that i dont find ES worth unless you have 4+ foes adj to use it , needs a good aggro control and with pet ..... well pet control is ....heh :/
